We are probably the only people who are not ecstatic that Apple just announced upgrades to their line of MacBook computers after only 6 months on the market. A quick look at the specs shows that they have drastically changed the port layouts of their computers, meaning the dock we have designed, the molds, everything, is pretty much useless on the this generation. Apple's move to make external modifications to their computers on such a short timeline is totally unprecedented and definitely caught us off guard. The only possible positive is that the chassis dimensions are the same. We can modify the designs and make new molds to accommodate the new computers, but instead of having to fund tooling for 5 molds we now have 10 molds. Right now we're looking at a doubled development cost, at least. Sadly, this might be the end of the road for Henge Docks.
