Horizontal Dock Product Update

We've been getting a lot of inquiries as to the release date of our new docks. We're really excited, as a lot of you are, to launch this amazing product. We know there's been a bit of a delay but we're working hard to make sure that these docks meet our highest standards. Whilst I appreciate the update, surely you can say ‘This year’ ‘Next Year’ or ANYTHING about when it might be here – all the comments in your last blog post are begging for some kind of ETA yet they seem to be ignored :/

So Q3 2013 is finished & there’s a new line of retina macbook pro’s available.

When will the horizontal dock be available and will it support the new line of retina macbook pros?

You’ll have lost yourself at least one customer if the answers aren’t “within 30 days” and “yes”.

This is typical corporate-speak nonsense. Gives me little confidence in a company that almost a year ago announced this great new device that everyone drooled over, said it would deliver in the third qtr., which it’s website still says, and then throws out this pablum? Either you guys have an idea of what you are doing or you don’t, but if this is an advance preview of your customer service for a premium priced product, you appear out of touch. If you give a damn- which it doesn’t appear you do – you need to do a heck of a lot better than this.

So very very tired of all apple peripheral companies essentially being promise ware prototype businesses with no actual products.

Belkin are great but under featured and overpriced.

You have a giant market of people with money yet in 2 years you have done nothing to take advantage of this.

I also grow very tired of the lack of communication. If you adjusted your marketing to reflect your new estimated date, added some new pictures or at least made your loyal followers aware of your developments then you a) wouldn’t have dozens of disgruntled comments to flick through b) wouldn’t lose customers who give up and buy a caldigit or belkin dock and c) you would show yourself as a company that isn’t a fumbling, babbling, 2 bit operation incapable of managing public relations.

Pallu, I understand you have many many comments to read through due to the shortcomings of henge, but you need to realise that your short, substance free retorts are doing more harm than good at this point.
Give a real, genuine answer or just stay quiet, at present you are just making everyone believe less and less in your product, company and you’re personal reputation and relationship with your customers.

I have been waiting for this for at least 6 months now. If you don’t hurry up, I will be spending my money on something else. Perhaps not as good, but at least available.

i understand there are delays and unforeseen development issues when fielding a new product like this however; I also believe that information and communication is key to customer service. Right now, you have a large following of potential buyers that are chomping at the bit for this new product and they need HOPE!

We can continue to be patient, but you have to give us a reason to stay that way and a reason to wait for your product. Otherwise, we’ll leave, disgruntled and bitter and find another solution.

Something as simple as a reason for the delay, a projected (AND realistic) release date as well as updating your website to reflect the fact that you have missed the projected deadline with a link to the explanation why would all go a long way to keeping the desire and purchasing base for this item.

i sincerely hope you heed this advice and take a few minutes to inform us of status and expectations.

I am really down hearted on the news. I have been waiting since before Christmas 2013 and still nothing. The communication from support has been the same “its coming” but as others say no firm dates.

Its quite frustrating. I would rather them say its not going to be available for at LEAST 2 years rather than keep us dangling.

why are there NO videos in the internet?? i use an old hengedocks for 13" mbp. but i dont trust in your new horizontal dock. all we can see are some CG pictures of your dock but no working videos or previews.

So what’s happening?

I have to agree with Gary above in the hope that you respond to all of us that preordered with a REALISTIC update.

If you don’t do something soon, you may well get beaten to market by someone else, and all those lovely pre-orders will vaporize, like a snowball in hell.
